Written by Andrew Parker On the 18th of this month, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada (TRC) will be gathering at the Pacific National Exhibition Grounds in Vancouver—one of six such events held nationally. The purpose of this commission is to assess and bring to light the damage done by the Residential School System in Canada. The Commission strives to support those who suffered through the system, and raise awareness.

Trinity Western University will be suspending classes on September 18th to allow students and faculty to partake in the events. Transportation will be provided by the university on the 18th for all those who wish to attend the event. The Truth and Reconciliation Commission will be held from the 18th to the 21st, and students are encouraged to attend this monumental event and participate in the reconciliation process.
